It was honed, but I couldn't hone it afterwards.

I was thinking just that! The edge polishes, keeps contact all along the hone but it doesn't meet at the end so it doesn't really get sharper.

The second attempt was made with only the weight of the blade and did nothing.
The second bevel is there cause of the tape. The first attempt was made without tape, second with.

Maybe an important thing that I left out.
The DA was honed by Kenrup and it was great. Since it was my first razor, inevitably, I screwed it up.
Than, I dulled it completely on the glass jar and...

I did a TNT after the 4k and the results were bad. So I really couldn't ruin anything.

Some update. To cut the story short- still no progress.

I took a sheet of a wet 3M 600 grit sandpaper, put it on a glass and lapped the stone.

Will try. It doesn't shave anything yet.



But the edge is dull, it doesn't shave arm hair (it used to). Than I should get to the 8k.

I'm not using that much pressure. Maybe 30-40% more than...

Not much pressure in the 1k, I'll experiment with the 4k in a few hours.
