I've not used dry slurry. There may be a little left that the razor created in the run up, but I don't purpose make a slurry.
It does leave the bevel with a beautiful shine though, doesn't it! -

Off the top of my head, I use a Coticule, vintage Thuringians, some odd vintage slate, a Shapton 16000, & occasionally a Chinese. I like the Thuringians.... -
