Whatever the lubricant is, it seems to be suspended in mineral spirits, hence the smell. Don't be eating any cheese puffs until you wash your hands after use.

Saturate your cloth with Tuf Glide, then when you think your cloth is no longer "wet", spray it with Rem Oil or similar lube as a carrier. Store it in a ziplock sandwich bag or Tupperware container....
