It would probably take forever to SAND a spanish...
It would probably take forever to SAND a spanish point into it.You could maybe grind it in if you're careful not to let the blade get hot at all(could ruin the temper),but IMHO it would be too...

I would call it a square point.To me,a spike has to stick out a bit past the end.JoeD had one recently on the SOTD thread.Hope he doesn't mind me putting it on here to illustrate this.
