is this a spanish point??
hi you guys..i bought these babies yesterday on the bay. i was wondering if the last one in the pic is a spanish point.
is it??

That's a good price if they are all in as good a shape as it looks like. Spanish points kind of look like a backwards C in the tip of the blade. I think the new Wackers have them, and if I'm not mistaken Dovo and Boker both field a Spanish point razor too.

I would call it a square point.To me,a spike has to stick out a bit past the end.JoeD had one recently on the SOTD thread.Hope he doesn't mind me putting it on here to illustrate this.

what if i sand it to a spanish point?? would this affect the shaving or the quality of the blade?
or maybe the value of it?

It would probably take forever to SAND a spanish point into it.You could maybe grind it in if you're careful not to let the blade get hot at all(could ruin the temper),but IMHO it would be too difficult to make it look right,and I feel like a spanish point looks better on wider blades.
