    Sunday

A really nice bedroom shave. A bit chilly in here these days (it's Winter here) but the Penfolds 'Bluestone' Grand Tawny port (a blend of 10 to fifteen year old ports aged in small wooden barrels) warmed me a little, as did Walt Whitman's Leaves of Grass on the music player. I felt like an Edwardian Gentleman as I shaved today...

The Mme Scodioli 'Step Right Up' soap and after shave were as fine as the fine port, and the edge on the Klas Törnblom, refreshed after 40 laps on the Shapton 16k was incredible, two passes and I feel like I have new skin.

One of the most relaxing, longest and closest shaves I've had. If only the weather was warmer, I'd like around 42 degrees Celsius, but I'll settle for maybe 30...

Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

    Prep: Hot shower
    Brush: Polo 8 by Simpson
    Razor: Tosuke
Soap/cream/AS: Dr Harris Almond + Proraso
    Strops: Neil Miller
    Result: Uberclean

What a shave! I've not been shaving for around five days (hasn't happened ... well, since I was very young) and Mr Scruffy looked at me in the mirror when I started shaving. I used some Proraso pre cream too, even though this razor is SHARP, I thought "better safe than sorry". At the end of this shaving session Mr Uber Clean looked at me in the mirror

    Razor – John Cockhill wedge
    Brush – Pixelfixed custom boar
    Soap – Valobra menthol
AST – OSMA Alum & Witch hazel
    AS – Capt’s Choice Bay Rum – Cat-O-Nine tails
ASB- Sage & Daisy – Nag Champa
The heavy wedge went through three days growth, POOF! During the hot weather you might try dipping the blade in ice water throughout the shave. Careful don’t damage the edge. The custom boar knot brush by Pixelfixed is breaking in nice. Have a great week.
