    Friday

Razor | De Pews | Cream | Irisch Moos | Eau de Cologne | Ach Brito Lavanda

The De Pews did a sterling job this morning, I really have, I think, got this razor sharp after a long battle. I’m really enjoying the Irisch moose cream, it lathers very easily, is a very creamy cream and has a nice scent. The Lavanda Eau de Cologne went well over top.

On the way to work I again listened to Dr Martin Luther King’s ‘I have a dream’ speech followed by gospel music. I’m really enjoying starting off my day listening to this speech (or sermon). I love the ‘call and answer’ aspect, with the background responses, the power and emotion of his voice, the Biblical poetry and references and most of all the message.

I guess what I find also sad is at the end he says “…And when this happens, when we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, "Free at last! free at last! thank God Almighty, we are free at last!"and I guess that hasn’t happened yet, has it? I guess we’re not free at last, are we? I do mean ‘we’ and not only people of colour, for he says also “The marvelous new militancy which has engulfed the Negro community must not lead us to distrust of all white people, for many of our white brothers, as evidenced by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny and their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom. We cannot walk alone.”

I guess it’s true. We cannot walk alone, and if we seek to do so, we are not free at last…

(Sorry to be off topic and for the long post, I was going to tell you about my workout, but I chose this)

That's a lovely little wedge. I think I like little wedges more than big ones actually...
