Haven't felt much like shaving or posting much as I've been dealing this week with the aftermath of my father having a stroke on Monday evening. Since then, they have put in a pacemaker and are doing abdominal ultrasounds today because they are now seeing blood in his urine. It's been a pretty stressful week, but I'll have to force myself to shave tomorrow...
Take care of yourself Bill. I hope your father has a speedy recovery.

    Gala
Today my first little man starts on the first day of school.
To celebrate the importance of the day, shave gala.
I hate brushless creams and multi-blade razors.
But these two give me the best shave ever.
    And I promised him.
    This is just fatherly love!

    Prep face wash dove soap
Razor Fon Golden Star full hollow 13/16
    Strop Kanayama cordovan #8000
Brush M&F M7 in faux Tortoiseshell
Mondial bergamot & neroli Italian soap
Alum & Thayers rose & aloe toner
    Kiehl's aftershave balm
    Guerlain vetiver Edt

The Fon Golden Star is a top quality shaver, and is such a beautiful razor to hold and observe it's one of those razors that I often give the once over trying to find a minor blemish fault, but I always fail the blade scales and pinning are pretty much flawless.

    Tuesday

Razor | Wade and Butcher Special | Cream | Body Shop Macca Root | After Shave | TOBS MR Sidney | Eau de Toilette | Joop! Jump

The Body Shop Macca Root cream lathered obediently; a nice frothy lather. Two passes with the W&B left me feeling happy. A good lashing of Taylor of Old Bond Street’s Mr Sidney after shave took me to another level and the Joop! Jump EDT embellished.

I ground my coffee beans for 15 turns of the handle and set the pot on the stove.

I dressed in grey lightly checked suit, white shirt, Victorian pink glass cufflinks, brown boots, bow tie. A lot of people said they liked the bow tie. However, in some comments I noted a spot of irony.

The event worthy of all the dressing up was the graduation ceremony of the guys who did the University Foundation Program, same program (or similar) being run in San Quentin. First time it's been run in Australia. Probably the most fulfilling thing to be involved with since I started this job.
