Razor | De Pews | Cream | Irisch Moose | After Shave | TOBS Mr Sidney’s
It seems that all too often lately I’m starting my post with the words “had a very nice shave with the [insert name of razor]. However, I had a very nice shave with the De Pews this morning. A lovely little razor, this.
A nice sunny day today.

20/9/2013 - A "Where the hell did that lather come from??" shave
Pre : Kiehl's face wash
Soap : TOBS Sandalwood cream
Brush : Vulfix Picadilly
Razor : 1969 Gillette "Black beauty" (#7 setting)
Blade : Gillette 7'o'clock yellow
Post : Homemade lime scented balm
Finish : BBS
Comments :
After the past couple of shaves with the bakelite slant, my skin wasn't looking forward to a #9 setting, regardless of a new blade etc. Somehow, the TOBS cream and the Picadilly brush spouted lather, and of good quality too. The #7 setting felt as though I was simply wiping the lather off... until I hit the area that the slant had previously aggravated. Even then though, the shave wasn't as painful as it could've been. I wasn't going to risk the pleasant results with the sting of alum; the balm finished the shave off with perfection.~ Dave ~ ... back to lurking...
