Hmmm. Is that in those old fashioned style ceramic bottles? Might have to look that up! My father always wore Old Spice and to me it's a 'Saturday scent' because he always shaved (with his DE) on Saturdays after mowing the lawn and before reading the paper. Saturday is the only time I was awake when he shaved, so I equate Saturdays with DE razors, a mowing of lawns and Old Spice. That's why generally I reserve my DE shave for Saturdays. One day I'll write a long post of exactly why each razor is in the place in the rotation that it is and bore you all to tears...It's very intricate and deep, you know...

    Carl,

The bottle is actually the current run of plastic that they're doing. Old Spice has a great track record of knowing it's place in the market and they are starting to capitalize on the classicism people associate with them. I haven't personally seen any of the old ceramic style bottles (my dad was a Brut guy when I was a kid), but I would imagine that the bottle is meant to evoke past iterations of their product.

I am attending a funeral today at Arlington National Cemetery where one of my classmate's mother is being interred. It will be a somber day, but seemed appropriate to start it with some quality shave kit...

Ha, plastic! Be merciful, say “death,”
For plastic hath more terror in his look,
Much more than death. Do not say “plastic”...

Yeah, they had a white top. I wonder if anyone got the Shakespeare reference?

Not me sorry though don't be sad, I did what I thought was a clever deja vous post a while back, and it only got one like and I don't even know whether it was the deja vousness or just the post itself that got the like.
