    Mystic Water Mysore Sandalwood - Semogue 830 - 11/16 Wagner & Lange - D.R Harris Marlborough

I was checking out the edge on the Wagner & Lange today as I gave it a touch up last night before I give the razor to my Uncle to try out. Instead of him spending money on a starter set up I decided to give him a lend of one of mine as well as a strop. This razor should do him nicely as an introduction to straight razors.

On a side note, the Mystic Water sample I recieved a couple of weeks ago is just about finished. There might be enough for one more shave but I've really enjoyed using this stuff. It is definitely a future purchase for me.

    Prep: Kyle's Prep
    SS: D.R. Harris Arlington
    Brush: Simpson Wee Scot
    Razor: Great Grandpa's Wiss Favorite
    AS: Captain's Choice Lime

What an exciting day for me. I finally took Great Grandpa Fred's razor out of the frame, and replaced it with my Grandfather Russel's Memorial Card. The razor was last used in 1957 as far as I know. I stropped up the razor as it looked and still felt very sharp. I was able to get through my cheeks but just couldn't cut through the neck hair. I may need to use my barber hone to get a better edge but I am going to try some different material's on the strop before I go honing it. How exciting to bring back this razor into my family! A very very special day for me today, and wanted to share with you gents.
