Thread: Sun November 03rd - Sat November 09th

I,ve never contributed to a SOTD thread before, I've lurked in them and ocasionally posted a comment but never have I made a contribution.
Since I've refrained from posting here for so long I thought I might as well wait for a special shave to come along and I think the first shave for a nice nos razor is about as special as a shave can get unless someone is getting married.

Yesterday night, I honed up my brand new nos Heljestrand MK31 on the Naniwas, it's never been honed before and the factory edge couldn't even take off arm hairs but I took care of that and put a very nice edge on it, when I woke up this morning it was the time for the moment I'd been waiting for since I made my bid on the razor last sunday.

The shave was exceptional, the most effortless bbs I've had in a long time.
When I have the time for it, I'm going to put an edge on its ivory clad sister that I bought a few days earlier.
