    Sat:

    Rooney small style 1 brush
    Gold-Dachs Spezial soap
    Illinois strop
    Heljestrand #32 ivory
    Pinaud Clubman A/S

Part of a pair, the other of which should be arriving at its new home today or monday. Honed this one up on a Dubl Duck barber's combination hone while watching a few episodes of "Sumomo mo momo mo", and got a great shave this morning.

Finally a good shave today It's been almost a week of bad ones.

    Hot shower
    Miller no2 strop
    6/8 Joseph Rodgers and Sons
    Prorasso creme
    Bass Boar brush
    Alum
    Pinaud Clubman

I'd forgotten good shaves like this existed after a week of the water softener being on the fritz. Hard water really doesn't seem to lubricate nearly as well as soft no matter what Soap you try.

I started off by washing my face and putting on some conditioner as I had 2 days of growth on it...
Stropped up the Filly #12 and did one pass using the Edwin Jagger BB brush and T&H 1805 (only got a little bit left so I want to use it up and create some space). I found out that the Filly was in need of a tochup so I did my second pass with the Heartring.. That thing mows down the stubble so easily that it's idiot-proof. The only thing matching its performance is its beauty.
My a/s routine was standard: Old Spice and Neutrogena RD.

Two days growth, dived in mid-afternoon for a 30 minute shave

    Hot rinse
    Proraso green

    Trumpers limes cream
    Edwin Jagger BB brush

    TM red latigo strop
    Kessar 5/8 spike

    Cold rinse
Thayers witchhazel with lemon and aloe vera
    Proraso a/s balm
    Pinaud Clubman classic a/s

Peach of a shave taking about 30 minutes. I swiped my jawline carefully as I am still not at ease with running the blade cross grain against the chin, but I am getting there slowly.

I have run out of TAGMSC a/s milk and it is bothering me not having it despite having proraso a/s balm and Trumpers coral skin food. Looks like it is time to bash the wallet again

Pinaud Clubman classic is growing on me more and more as a go-to day to day aftershave, it reminds me of old spice, but with a different twist on it somehow. The women around me think it smells pleasant, masculine and "powdery". No complaints there then!

I tried Pinaud lilac vetegal, it just doesn't go on me well. My wife tried a little on her and it smells lovely. Looks like body chemistry is playing it's tricks there.

I will be needing more shaving soap and cream in the next few weeks, time to look around at some options other than Trumpers ..
