Default OK, first post in this thread

    Sunday, March 4

    Proraso Pre
    B&B FauxEbony Silvertip
    Moss scuttle
First shave with Mamabear's soap - Irish Tweed
    Miller Honey brown hanging strop
Very hot water via tea water heater used for steaming towel
Three (3) different razors - the job being finished with a 6/8 Revisor
    4711 aftershave

I am starting to realize that my stropping technique is fatally flawed. I have two great blades that I have screwed up with poor technique, and I am going to have to go back to the hone to get them back into the rotation. Used pasted strop to correct the Revisor, and it is my best razor, good stuff.

Closest shave yet, last pass against the grain - took some time, lather was top notch, heated was even better. Overall good experience.

    B&B Finest ST
    TGQ Lavender de Provence cream
    TM Strop
    7/8 Wostenholm 1/2 hollow
    Royall Bay Rhum

First time with a brush this large = lather all over the place! Nice shave though.

    Mon

    B&B Finest ST
    Mitchell's Wool Fat Soap
    TM Strop
    F. Fenney Wedge
    AOS Sandalwood Balm
    Hoyt's 1868 cologne

I was able to contain the lather today and had a good one.

    Default Test Shave

Today was a test shave day. First of many as I like refurbishing these things a lot.

    Hot Shower
Hot towel with Proraso Pre Shave cream.
    Proraso shave cream
    Moss Scuttle
    Edwin Jagger Super Badger (C&E)
Newly Honed Novelty Cutlery Co. 6/8 Razor.

I have to say Lynn, you weren't kidding. These things are a beauty to use. It shaved like butter I have to say. No pressure and nice easy strokes. I think I really like the 6/8 size a lot. I am still getting used to it. That and the spike, but I love this razor. I may take it back to the Chromium for a little bit more fine tuning, but it shaves beautifully.
Very proud of this little razor.
