Tuesday evening - A British Affair...
Hot water prep
Greaves & sons (1850's) razor - New Forest Tubby 2 Super Badger 2 band brush - MWF - cold water splash - Truefitt & Hill 1805 balm - D.R. Harris Arlington after shave - hot towel - hot verbena shower - Penhaligon's Eau de Verveine EdT
A fantastic shave with the Greaves; enjoyed to 1930's and 40's songs from Billie Holiday. Funny how time doesn't seem to exist sometimes. Here I am in 2014, shaving with a razor that's over 150 years old, listening to some "modern" music from 80 years later, applying a balm that (allegedly) hasn't changed formula since 1805, which pre-dates the razor by a rough 40 odd years and after the shower shpritzing myself with a fragrance from a company that's been around since 1870...
I feel so young!
Anyway, this was one for the books. Relaxed, totally satisfying and in the top ten of my best shaves, also thanks to the new brush. It's great. Thanks for listening Gentlemen.
