Thanked: 485Sunday
Razor | Klas Törnblom Frameback| Soap | Mme Scodioli Step Right Up | After Shave | Mme Scodioli Step Right up with Myrosol Aqua de Limón over the top | Other | Morgan’s pomade (for the scent)
Same soap and aftershave combo as last time I posted here, which was ages ago. A very nice Sunday afternoon bedroom shaving stand shave listening to The John Butler Trio ('Three' 2001) and drinking a little Saki.
The Madame Scodiloi soap lathered very well; I loaded the brush quite heavily. The Törnblom performed magnificently and I was really ‘in the moment’.
The Aqua de Limón goes so well over the top of the Step Right Up to add a little lift and sting.

Sunday morning treat.
The shave today was made possible by a massive 8/8 Hawcroft & Pierson -for barber’s use, I don’t know the exact year when it was made; but I know that these guys manufactured razors until 1844. The blade came to me without clothes so I made horn scales for it, the spacer out of red African Padouk wood and used stacked washers in one end; there was no need to hone it, it was sharp and it accomplished the task in two easy passes with enough care not to take my nose off. Made suds with an Omega bristle brush for barbers and Razorock Don Marco, followed by a splash of Santa Maria Novella. Take care. HOG

Thanked: 2What a Fine Day For a Shave.]
Woke up to a nice hot shower,
The Tweezerman Badger was soaking and
The Mitchell's Wool Fat was ready to make my suds.
Dubl Duck Goldedge 6/8 had just taken 30 laps on the Premium Cotton and another 60 on the SRD Premium III strop.
As I started my first pass, I knew it was going to be a fabulous shave. As I completed my third pass I realized that I was so close to the elusive BBS. But alas, not today. So I cleaned up with Thayers Original and finished it off with TOBS Sandalwood aftershave.GOOD DAY GENTS
