[QUOTE]Well my straight learning curve continues, so nice to get an oxymoron into SoTD!
I've not long had my Kropp back from Jamie (celticrusader), who has put a very fine and comfortable edge on it, so good in fact I'm getting shaves that are more or less as good as I was from my shavette, most impressive! Thanks Jamie......might have something else heading you way soon!

Soap: TOBS Sandalwood
Razor: Early "Ground in Hamburg" Kropp C 1888-1891

Nice one pass shave. Think I'll let the stash breathe today, no wax just combed it out. I call it going FarahThe older I get, the better I was

This is the first straight razor I bought off the Bay, about six years back now. It still looks brand new with miniscule hone wear, and still showing the bluing on the tang. If memory serves, I paid all of $15 US for it.
It was touched up this A.M. on the Thuringian bout that came late last week. It's not the rock that arrived on an Asteroid in answer to all my prayers, but it is easily the equal of my best branded Escher that cost me six times as much! This stone is the palest green I've got, with some nearly indistinguishable darker areas. It was purported to come from nearer the surface, and the natural skin on the side would seem to bear that out. In any case, I'm very happy with this stone!
