Thanked: 1185Gotta love them fresh off the stone! This razor was just...I believe the technical term is freakin ridiculously sharp. I would have gladly done a second pass but there was nothing left to cut after the first.

Thanked: 1185Just between us, my stone is a combination course/fine affair that I picked up at an Ace hardware store when I first started straight shaving about six years ago. Back then I told myself it was only temporary until I could put hands on a Norton 4K/8K but as time went by and I perfected my technique my makeshift stone seemed more than adequate and I just never replaced it. Now my secret is out, my name is 1OldGI and I don't have fancy hones. At any rate, I gave this razor a good workout on the stone and 60 laps on an antique horsehide strop and the results were magic.
