Fine and fun shave test of 3 pristine Henckels. Love the old Razorock Limited edition. Running low! Does anyone know if they make anything like it anymore?

06-22-2014, 04:16 PM #26May this week bring you all a granted wish!~Richard
Worlds ugliest, honed to death, Japanese razor, VdH, lather bowl, Bay Rum, Turkish brush, Haida Gwaii stone.
Unlikely international selection! The Day? Bright 88F/ 32C. The Shave? Now this is where everything came together. Can I say “Wow” A great shave in two passes. Smooth and no pull at all on my drool lines.
Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.

Richard- I welcome the timely addition of your well used razor as I have self-proclaimed this to be "Ugly Razor/Great Shave" week and have vowed (for one week only
) to shave with only my ugliest and best shavers. So This morning I selected one of my favorite razors. It's a 4/8 Koken Gazelle. Blade length is like 2". Completely undesireable. And ugly. I paid three bucks for it because I figured I'd hone it up and PIF it to some new straight shaver. It refused all efforts to become clean and presentable. When I shave tested it, I said to myself "this thing is going NOWHERE but into my rotation! I usually dislike smaller razors, but this thing is SO nimble on your face, and it takes an edge like a Fili 14. It's never bit me or misbehaved in any way.
Presented next to a container of Ren Wax, because this ugly prom date has never seen a molecule of it before. With MdC unscented, an Omega 10049, and Thayers Aftershave with witch hazel and aloe. As good a shave as I ever have!
!! Enjoy the exquisite taste sharpening sharpening taste exquisite smooth. Please taste the taste enough to ride cutlery.
