    several days' growth

    Plisson HMW 12
    Tabac ss
    NOS Rissian Shell
    5/8 Simmons K 739 Keen Kutter barber's notch
6/8 Brockton Great Atlantic Labs rp
    6/8 Heljestrand MK 32 rp
    Trumper's alum
    Trumper's LSF

The KK is probably the most comfortable and well-balanced razor I have used. Nice thumb notch and longer than normal tail combine extremely well. Was a pita to hone and I didn't have very high expectations. Was wrong - definitely 10 / 10 shaver, best of the bunch. Felt smooth and stiff.

Brockton was OK, 9 / 10 or so, certainly less smooth and sharp than the KK.

Helje was once again 9+ / 10. Seems I have managed to get it very smooth but not as sharp as I want, unless I am imagining things. Expected more from it but I guess I need to put in more time to get it there.

The Russian Shell feels very different from the DD#70 Broke In Russia. Different color, different leather texture, same red patterned backing. Both work very well.

1 cut while NOT shaving - just holding a blade close to the face while inspecting results Guess using 3 different razors in one shave requires more attention

    Overall - interesting shave.

    Cheers
    Ivo

    Okay, newbie's turn.

(Bear in mind I'm still using my ghetto setup from here until my real stuff comes in.)

    After a warm shower,
    W.H. Sample & Sons 5/8
    Barbasol (crowd shudders)
WTG pass was really good. Cleaned up the cheeks and neck really well. Surprisingly successful at the mustache area.
Nicked my chin in a couple places on the XTG pass. Decided not to do ATG this morning.

Under-chin is still a little rough, as I wasn't very thorough with the XTG pass.
