Thanked: 1185Breaking in the New Guy 2
For years I told myself I was going to try a La Toja Shaving Stick. Today I did and I must say it's very nice. The razor (a Maggard M8) is also new. The first thing you notice about this razor is its weight. At 180g it is hands down the heaviest razor I've ever encountered. But functionally the M8's prodigious heft doesn't detract from the quality of the shave. This is truly a razor that you can let the weight of the razor do the work and a fine job it does. As an added benefit, I'll reach for this razor if someone ever breaks into my house and I need something heavy to throw at them. If this thing hit you between the headlights you'd be down for the count for sure
