A very nice shave this morning. I don't reach for the Speick all that often but I always enjoy when I do, and the new boar knot in the old handle is a lathering champ. The Champlin's a wonderful lil' razor too, it holds a wicked edge and is as smooth as glass.

A very good Shave with a Razor that nearly can be called british cultural good, with its leather pouch it looks more like a museums
piece than like a usable Razor, but it is usable, after some hours of derusting and cleaning its in a good restaurated and stabilized
condition, and thanked me my work with a fantastic shave :-)
Its a Razor that possibly was a Bread and Butter Razor and thats the reason why its invaluable for me, as it gives an impression of the ordinary workmans razor instead of the fancy blinking aristocrats razors.

    Interesting.

I've never heard of using the Alum as a pre-shave. I'll have to try it sometime.
