Mastro Livi "100 Layers" Damascus
Yet another perfect shave! Mastro Livi damascus steel is always capable of giving a super smooth and velvety touch, not to mention the deep and impeccable shave. I love this razor for many reasons. The beautiful Mastro Livi carbon Damascus steel, made of 100 layers and with a lovely wood pattern, and its juniper scales with their wonderful aroma. The extra hollow ground is a genuine work of art and talent - completely hand made, of course - making this straight razor sing.

24 hours straight in a UHaul truck from San Diego to Denton Texas. First order of business was to try out my new brush. It was life changing. I have been a bit of a badger snob and never gave boar a try but that was the best 9 dollars I have ever spent. What a value this brush is.

Monday morning
Wade & Butcher 13/16 faux frame back
hot towel & noxzema
Ingram lather cream
Ever Ready wood refurb w/ 22mm 2-band @ 42mm
alum block & witch-hazel
Cool & clear this morning, 18ºF/-8ºC and warming to 50ºF/10ºC this afternoon with no breeze to speak of. The Ingram cream is lovely stuff with a nice dose of lanolin to boot. The Wade & Butcher was great too and really seems to be holding it's edge nicely. Just a quick strop and it's feels fantastic. Have a good 'un folks.--------------------------------------------------------------- Chris
