Thanked: 40First shave today with a Palmera 14 that I cleaned up and honed. Blade was honed on a Naniwa 1000, Norton 4000/8000, and finished on a Arkansas hard white translucent with water only. I gave it 15 stokes on latigo leather with CrOx, and then stropped on SRD Roo / linen.
Compared with Fili 14s that I have shaven with, the grind on the Palmera is noticeably thinner. The Palmera took a smooth, buttery edge off of the arkie. Overall, very comfortable shave.

A great shave compromised by a lukewarm performing cream. I know lots of folks like Coates, but for me, it is just middle of the road .. at best.
Have a great week, gents!
