My first taste of a 5/8, and my first Sheffield experience as well, was a John Williams Damascus that no one seemed to want on another forum marketplace. Great shaver and for much less than the price of a Dovo Best!

It isn't near as handsome as the Sheffield you have though. Nice razor, ProudMarineDad!

My first str8 razor was a John Williams Damascus round point that I still have, only seen one other round point in over 6 years. I acquired four more, all square points, sold one, still have four left and keeping them. They are extremely scarce and a top quality razor, up there IMHO with George Wostenholm & Sons, W&B and Frederick Reynolds.

I also had a Dovo Best Quality, wasn't impressed with it and sold it. On its best days wouldn't come close to a John Williams Damascus.
