I've been revisiting my La Grosse Blanche coticule with great success. Great keenness with unbelievable smoothness... I'm very impressed! On another note, if some court, for some infraction, sentenced me to a life of Mitchell's Wool Fat (Kent), It would really be no hardship at all!
The Tom Ford Edp ... Wow, very nice!! I got a free sample and tried it today. Very, very nice. So nice, I looked it up to buy some ... Very pricey also, so I'll have to make this small vial last. But, for the well heeled, give this one a try ...

Great stuff Phrank! That feeling is awesome and yes, you definitely did not pick the easiest blade to work on in the first place!
    Hats off!

Excellent first shave with a new Craig Barr 9/8 1095 Steel hollow ground. Shave was smooth and razor sang. It felt like shaving with a meat cleaver!

OK so the synthetics are good and more enjoyable to use than my horse/badger vie long brush but the Simpson is still excellent. It is neither better nor worse than the synthetics, it is different, but in a good way.
