Traveling with Mastro Livi Perugia 13.12.14 and Alum Block

This is the razor I took with me this time, in my usual job travel. This is the latest Mastro Livi straight razor I added to my collection and I am very happy with it. This time, and after a very long time I did not do that, I wanted to use the alum block in my post shave routine. I don't know why, but I stopped using alum block some time ago and, this morning, when I saw it in my traveling shaving bag, I thought it was nice to use it again. And I remembered how I liked it, still not figuring out why I stopped using it. Sometimes it is very good to go back to the good and old habits!

Thanks, one of our members makes them and very humbly calls them in his SOTD pics: homemade boar.....since I did not make this brush I figure I have some freedom to call it anything unless told otherwise...I like the brush a lot, extra length good for scuttles but all around a great brush.
