02-01-2015, 06:01 PM #23May this week bring the Groundhog poor eyesight and “extra dark” glasses!!
No-name Razor with red brass scales, Semogue boar, Green Mountain Spice, Don Juan splash.
The Day? Kinda bright and cold.12F/-11C. The Shave? The work done on the razor was paid back many times over! Green Mountain always pleases and the little Semogue works very well with it. Don Juan is a great splash but will burn if your skin is chapped.
This razor lost about a 1/16” of an inch to corrosion which had to be honed out. No name on the blade, and this is the only razor I have seen with those brass scales. The lather bowl was made for me by a local potter and is very rough inside about 100 grit which makes it nice for use with a shave stick rubbed into it.

Pretty certain your razor was from Elgin, Richard! Only ones I have seen with that type of pinning and the anodized scales!
Nice shave!"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.
