This probably won't be comforting but I have 3 ex wives....the first divorce with my 2 kids was by far the worse, words cannot describe the loss. For what it is worth the divorces without kids were a piece of cake compared with the first. I still have good relationships with my 'kids,' who are in their early 40's.
