Agreed, thanks, you will never see another one, as if you look at my blade ID, you will see a +S......The +S modified this magnificent shaving instrument the way few could I'm guessing. I feel pretty lucky to have gotten this in a trade where I'm sure he intentionally made sure I got the better end of the deal......this Forum as you know has some great members....and a handful of masters.

Razor – Meiko Hozonkai–Preservation Society
Brush – Semouge Custom badger
Soap – Valobra
AS – ALUM & DR Harris, Sandalwood
The makers mark on the monkey tail on the Japanese Western references Cherry blossom. Paired with some of Max’s horn scales from a few years back and it’s a true show piece. The big Semouge badger has a horn handle w pre-ban ivory cap. Clean shave is good!

The day? 30ºF, sunny. The Shave? I r happy! All the players enjoyed each others contribution and my face is the winner. A DFS in two and a touch. Been a while since I shaved with a big blade and this one is. It is my first rescale since my eyesight changed a few months back. Any one thinking of Aluminum scales? Don't! They continue to show every deep scratch of processing for hours of sanding and polishing. Fortunately the blade may have been NOS and only took an hour to hone to very good and a trip back to the hones will make DFShaver.
Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.

This is the first shave with my new DE. I got it at a thrift store yesterday for $8. Pretty happy with it. I have been using an old blue tip tto and its nice to have the adjustment options. I've got some sample blades coming next week so I'm looking forward to experimenting with this razor. It is much heavier than the non adjustable blue tip so requires a bit different touch, but a decent first shave with it set on 4.
