    Razor: Rescaled Dubl Duck 5/8
    Gillette 195 Fat Boy (f1) 1960 (5)
Brush: Jerusalem Olive Wood/WD Silvertip 24/48
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
Cream: The Body Shop Maca Root cream
    Blade: Feather (2)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black Post Shave Gel, Old Spice 1973

First time out with this beautiful Dubl Duck, that was PIFed to me by Cudarunner from SRP. I was only going to to shave from my sideburn to my jaw line on my right side with my right hand. It went so well, no gushing blood, so I did the left side with my left hand. That went so well I did my neck on my left side. Looking good so let's see about it being easier to do your upper lip with a straight. Left hand right hand going easy trying to figure out the best approach. Not pushing my luck I stopped there and finished with my FB, and only needed 1 pass. The Maca Root was nice and slick which helped get a nice shave. I use both hands with my DE razors, and it actually seemed easier with the straight on my left side, go figure. One little weeper on my upper lip left side. Nice cucumber smell with the WH, and then some soothing JB Gel, took care of the weeper. After cleanup some vintage OS. That was fun. I will do more tomorrow.

    SOTD Sunday April 26, 2015

    Pre-shave: None
    Brush: Omega
    Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89BL
    Blade: Gillette 7 o'clock yellow
    Soap: Penhaligon Sartorial
    AS: Fine L'Orange Noir
    Finisher: 4711

    (cold water shave...brrrrrracing)
One day's worth of whiskers off the face, and three years' worth of hair off the head (before and after photos are not for the faint of heart). Not bad for a Sunday morning.

I'm so very glad that the razor that I was able to give to you due to the generosity of another member at SRP gave you a very nice 'First Straight Razor Shave! The Donor is a man I'm very proud to call my friend
