Thanked: 146Proraso|G5|Joe Badger|Le Pere Lucien|W&B 13/16|Proraso AS|Iggy's BalmI really love the LPL soap. Has anyone tried the matching AS? This W&B is one awesome shaver, smooth in 3 passes and off to the grind again.
But a sweet shave to get you over the hump always makes it bearable...lol

F.W. Engels, 11/16 Full Hollow, Spike Point
I have always liked spike points in straight razors: they always provide a super precise performance, they are unbeatable in certain spots of your face. It is also true they are less forgiving than other point styles, but their precision is the very best. It is the type of point no one would suggest to a newbie, I however admit - when I started using straight razors about 16 years ago - the second straight razor I bought had a spike point. Since then, I added to my collection other razors having a spike point and this lovely Engels is just one of the many.

Razor: Dubl Duck Goldedge 5/8 Round point 1947-52
Gillette 195 Fat Boy (f1) 1960 (5)
Brush: Jerusalem Olive Wood/WD Silvertip 24/48
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
Cream: TOBS Grapefruit cream
Blade: Feather (2)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black Post Shave Gel, TOBS Luxury AS
I just got this Dubl Duck Goldedge back from @gssixgun, after he honed it. Wow Glen does wonderful work. My other Duck is sharp, but this blade is insanely sharp. It popped hair off my arm like I have never seen. Glen sends a checklist and note on what he used to hone this bad boy, and boy, is it shave ready! Lathered up the TOBS and spent extra time hydrating my beard, so I could try to go smother with the Duck. Wow, very sharp and smooth, thanks Glen. I like the round point a lot as It makes it easier for me to get to some of my more challenging areas of my face. Very light pressure and no pull or drag. Getting better and a little closer doing most of my face using both hands and adjusting my angles. finished with my FB and only needed 1/2 pass. Still working all the angles, but getting better. Nice cucumber smell with the WH, and then some soothing JB Gel. After cleanup some TOBS. This was a fun shave, and I love this Duck!
