Love the strop - they are a workhorse, and the hard pasted linen secondary strop is something I'd never do without.

I did a one stone hone with the razor using the Guangxi stone. I started with a heavy slurry and slowly diluted it. I finished with some .5 diamond spray from SRD, 20/40 passes on a Bison horsehide stop with linen. I have never had much luck with the Guangxi, but seem to get a fairly decent edge this time. I am still not a big fan of the full hollow razors but the Sheffield Cutlery was an exception.From their stillness came their non-action...Doing-nothing was accompanied by the feeling of satisfaction, anxieties and troubles find no place

Saturday 5 mile run/ Cool Shower/Lecran Cutlery/VDH Boar Brush/ VDH Luxury Soap/ RazorRock Alum/ Old Spice EdC/ Firehouse Light Moustache Wax
Good run, nice shower, shave was a bit beans and rice but the razor was fresh off the stone and performed wonderfully. This shave was proof that a great shave can be had even with affordable locally available gear.Last edited by 1OldGI; 05-16-2015 at 08:18 PM.
