I wonder which side of the road they drive on there? The English drive on the opposite side of the road than we do & everything there is positive ground instead of negative ground, reverse polarity. I have nothing against it, just an observation. I used to rebuild alternators, generators & starters. I had to rebuild many Lucas alternators which were positive ground. Are they like that down under too?

PRESHAVE: Face wash with soap and warm/hot water
RAZOR: ATT R1 / Bulldog handle
BLADE: Astra SP (new)
STRAIGHT: Torrey (4/8"'s I think)
SOAP: First Canadian Bay Rum and Lime (1st try)
BOWL: VDH
BRUSH: Tweezerman Badger
POST: Rinse with warm/hot water to get soap off and then some cold water rinses/splashes and pat try.
Comments: Okay, so I used the Torrey for like two passes (for the most part) and I was hoping to do my complete shave with it but didn't get the shave I wanted (DFS), however I did get close to a CCS except for a couple of areas the neck and jawline so I fired up the ATT R1 and did a pass and a little touch up to complete the shave and to achieve my DFS. That worked good and the only weeper I got was caused by the R1 and not the Torrey so I was please with that for sure! This was like the fourth time using a straight so I was happy that I got some beard off using one! Still feels a bit strange trying to get the right grip to shave the chin and jawline. I might need to watch a couple of vid's just before I shave so I can see how others hold it during those areas. Soap, this is also the first time I ever used this stuff. It is pretty good soap! I had no issues with the lather as it lathered easily but to me it didn't feel like it gave me quite enough protection or slickness but the post feel seems pretty good! I was fine with the scent and it didn't seem too strong. No irritation and one weepers from the DE! All in all, a good shave today!
Just like to give a shoutout to Dustin Wade for restoring the Torrey and one to Scott Ostermiller for the soap samples. I will try out other samples every now and then too.
Please feel free to leave comments on any items used as I enjoy reading them to see what others say about the gear I am using/trying out! Of course, YMMV!
Thx.
