Brought the family to Newport this weekend. Stopped by Lizze Borden house on the way back. It's a bed and breakfast now. I want to post a pic but for some reason it's not an option.

Wonderful shave today buy too dang hot.

I didn't think I'd ever like a rose scented soap and I'm still not 100% convinced. But I received a sample of this Soap Commander rose scented soap when I received my shipment of B&M Roam (thank you Phrank). The lather wasn't bad but not as good as a regular tallow soap or my preferred B&M line. But not bad either. But since rose is a main scent in Xpec, I thought I'd try it.

Prep: Hot shower with Musgo Real bath soap
    Soap/cream: Soap Commander Love
    Brush: Rooney silver tip
    Razor: Friodur 72, 6/8
    A/S: Clubman, Em's balm

Comments: Dang, I really thought after two passes and some cleanup I was going to get my first complete straight shave. The straight shave felt good and even felt very close until I did a rinse, then I could still feel stubble at the jawline and some on the chin but I did fine with the neck area and all rest though! I used the Wolfman razor (open comb side) for a cleanup pass in those areas listed earlier! One weeper and no irritation today and I ended up with a DFS shave but not BBS. No issues with the Proraso as it lathers easy and gave me very good protection throughout the shave. All in all, it was a very good shave today but could have been better!

Please feel free to leave comments on any items used as I enjoy reading them to see what others say about the gear I am using/trying out! Of course, YMMV!

    Thx.
