Had to drop the wife at LGA early this morning, so this was a fast one pass shave. Not bad, not bad at all

    Two days' growth, warm shower.

    Dovo INOX 4/8
    Marvy soap
    Burma Shave best boar
    WTG & XTG passes

Not a great shave today, but an informative one. The 4/8 is a little harder to control than a larger razor, but I started getting the hang of it. Keeping the blade as flat as possible to my skin helped. So did taking tiny, precise strokes.

I also realized a deficiency in my lather-building! I left my brush really wet, used extra elbow grease working up the lather, and was rewarded with half a mugful of foam. I guess it was the user, not the hard water, nor the subpar soap that was keeping me from building a lather with Marvy.
