The leg continues to heal and feels a little more normal every day. I go back to the doctor a week from Wednesday. I'm hoping at that point the splint will come off my leg and I'll be cleared to drive, walk and resume some semblance of a normal life. Being cooped up in the house is becoming more challenging by the day. It doesn't help that the monsoon has arrived and it's rained everyday since the 14th of July. Better days ahead, I'm sure. As soon as I have full range of motion I'm gonna have to train on the bike hardcore. I plan to do a 53 mile ride the weekend after my birthday in October (a mile for every year I've been alive.)The older I get, the better I was

Won this for $35.00, Valery at The Gentleman's Den restored it, and what a razor it's turned out to be, these things are indeed fantastic shavers.

Comments: Today I started out with full intentions of using the Torrey for the shave but after about a 1/2 of pass and it just didn't feel like it was cutting very well so I switched to the Gold Dollar to complete the shave. As always I felt that a couple of areas could have been closer but that is okay as I am sure I will improve on those areas with time. No issues with the Soap Commander soap although I don't think it is one of the slickest one I have used but I didn't have any problems with I used it for DE shaving. I did think I got the lather as good as I could have so I guess I will have to say that this soap might just not make my top five for straights shaving. Other than the switching of the straights out and my soap feeling just so-so I did get a very good shave today and I will call it an almost DFS shave! No irritation but I did get one little weeper on the chin area!
Please feel free to leave comments on any items used as I enjoy reading them to see what others say about the gear I am using/trying out! Of course, YMMV!
Thx.Last edited by SirMike; 08-04-2015 at 01:06 AM.
