I'm having to reuse photos from earlier in the year due to time constraints. This one is from September and one of my first shaves with this razor. It's a very smooth shaver.

Forgot to post this yesterday.
Shave Of The Day
Razor - Japanese Cape 750
Brush - Muhle 22mm synthetic
Soap - Strop Shoppe Instinct
AS - Italian Barber Milionario
This razor never disappoints. Super sharp and super smooth. I forget sometimes how good Strop Shoppe soaps are. Tremendous lather and great post shave feel. If you haven't tried them yet, you're missing out. Now synthetic brushes are a different story. I haven't used this one in a long time and now I remember why. Yes it's super soft but otherwise it's a floppy mess in my opinion. I know a lot of you love your synthetics and that's great, but for me, I'll stick to my badger brushes. If it wasn't for the wife using it this brush would be gone.

Thanked: 250--Wednesday evening shave--
Razor--6/8 Lakeside Cutlery Army/Navy. This razor is special to me because it was my Grandfather's old razor. It has served me faithfully for 45 years and may it give me my last shave before I die.
Hone--None today.
Strop--Illinois 454 with more waves than a tsusami. 15 laps on leaded canvas side and 75 laps on the leather.
Soap--Van der Cream, a soap concoction of Van der Hagen and Creamo. Wonderful lather and cushion.
Mug--A gimme coffee cup from our local bank.
Brush--Burma Shave boar that is still shedding like the neighbor's sheep dog.
Aftershave--5 drops of EVOO with a dab of Mennen Afta.
Music--Golden Earring "Quiet Eyes".
Result--My standard three pass WTG, XTG, and ATG. What a treat when this razor comes up in rotation.....perfect shave and I made it last 1/2 hour. Next shave will be on Sunday when I take my newly restored 4/8 Shumate out for a test shave. You all have a great rest of the week.

Leatherstockiings, that's a killer looking edge! I have a Wade & Butcher with that mirror edge on it also & it shaves as good as it looks........
