Default Just posted at B&B wanted to share with you Guys to.

Did not shave yesterday to make this worth its wild. Found this place in Columbus, OH and let me tell you what an experience. The Gentleman John Bowman has been Shaving for more then 30 years and then took his old school experience and got trained by Truefitt & Hill Master Shavers. Had his Regency Shave here is there description
Our Regency shave combines a hot lathered shave of an old time barber shop with the rejuvenating qualities of a modern spa. The Master Shaver experience dotes upon you with nine towels, our glycerin-based hot lather, citrus pre-shave oil loaded with 10 essential oils and other intoxicating secrets to moisture and hydrate your face as we soften your beard to prepare you for the smoothest shave possible.

To the sound of soothing music, the second have of our 1 hour luxury shaving session consists of an anti-aging facial. This half of our formula is meant to take out the stress the world puts in. We apply our 200,000,000 year old Australian mud to your face. the active clay with its dynamic skin healing ability due to Zeolite activity along with bother elements will make your skin feel new, and you feel like you just had 8 hours of fresh sleep.

That is his description and it does not do it justice. all the little details like the towels sprayed with lavender EO, The mud has Sandalwood oil. Of course outstanding cleansing exfoiliating and moisturizing. If you are in Columbus you must check John out. worth every penny and then some. Also next time he is going to use one of my razors.

With all this said he is also a wonderful gentlemen that would fit right in with our group. He gets truly excited about this art. He could not believe the things I was telling him about are group. Check out his site here it is not completely done but you will get the idea.

Plain and simple if you are even close to Columbus make the trip.

    OK, I admit:

Whenever I see the name "Taz" in the SOTD I always check it out, looking forward to a nice photo / set-up. Can I be the only one?

This time - something different, but still very interesting

    Cheers
    Ivo

Looks nice Taz. It's a bit out ofmy way to just "give it a try" but good if you're there.

    Hot shower
    Coalface facial soap
    Homemade silvertip
TAGMSC soap combined with Taylor's Rose cream for lather (and amazing were the smells and sights of fluffy white stuff flying about as I was using my brush)
    TI 7/8 silversteel spike point
    Outram strop
Homemade "love tonic" combined with aloë vera gel for an aftershave.

Woohoo!!! might have been the best so far (and I've been doing this for over a year now). I finally figured out that the hair under my ears/sideburns near the yawline grow UP instead of down. I was able to deal with it bu shaving DOWN on that area (I don't do a downwards stroke anywhere else on my face).

Smooth...SMOOTH!!! I'm happy. Everytime you think "this can't get any better" it does and prooves you wrong.

    Hot rinse and conditioner
    Proraso prepost

Sharpened my 5/8 Lewis RP on TM 4-sided pasted paddle that arrived today
40 laps on TM Red Latigo strop

    EJagger BB brush
    Taylors Shaving Shop cream

Alum rubdown followed by Witchazel and aloe

Fantastic shave, improved by TM's paddle strop which sharpened the edge of my razor brilliantly. So pleased with the results today.

i have used the same set up for the last 3 days, and it has been great.
the razor... this one from Iwan:

    hot shower
    20/50 TM horsehide
    B&B 2006 Finest, ebony
    Taylor's Sandalwood shave cream
7/8 Livi - Takeda damascus olive wood (stole the image from Iwan)
3 passes, no need for alum

Jim - I just can't help but marvel at these Mastro's everytime i see them. It's been on my wish list for a while. Sounds like it shaves as good as it looks.
