I'm very happy with this brush. I've used it exclusively for the month. It has plenty of backbone and is easy to use for bowl lathering and soft enough for a very nice face lather.. It is a great value for the price. It will definitely stay in my rotation.

You gotta love the MdC Fougere, after 3 years, still the No. #1 Shaving Soap in my books, nothing comes close to the stuff, just superb.

Lately, the MdC Original, which is Lavender scented, has been really spending a lot of time on my counter, if I was forced to reduce to two soaps, it would be these two.

Beautiful SOTD AS....

Regrettably I left two and a half jars of Fougere behind at my ex wife's house two years ago April. Last I heard she donated them to Goodwill. I am going to really cherish this jar and get some mileage out of it. I have enjoyed the original scent in the past to the tune of 3 jars used since 2012 but I will give a slight nod to the Fougere. I was fortunate to snag a nearly full container of original formula Santa Maria Novella crema da barba along with the MdC F. from a kind gent on the "nook" and I would place IT actually as my all time favorite. (perhaps we enjoy them more when they reformulate and become legends later?) I could see a shave den of Tabac, MdC Fougere, SMN, Czech & Speake Oxford & Cambridge, & Antica Barbieria Colla bitter almond..... am I leaving anything out?
