I've become kinda bored with the subject of straight razors. I still use them as for me they are still the perfect tools for the job.
But I'm cured of the need to acquire more of them, in fact, a while ago I gave away a bunch of them (lesser gods admittedly).
I entertain the idea of selling razors that I could have sworn would remain in my collection for ever.
I avoid the same old discussions, especially those regarding hones and honing.

Yesterday was an exception, I went to a flea market and I scored a couple of straights for the first time in 1-2 years! Some minor polishing, a replacement set of scales to one of them, 45' of honing and voilĂ ... ready for testing!

One of them is a shoulderless 7/8", a type of razor I really like, the other one doesn't look exceptional, but I'm a fan of the scales which is why I bought it. So what do we have ? Two hopefully good German razors, a generic synthetic brush which I quite like, the never-surpassed Castle Forbes, followed by Lucky Tiger tonic (as pedestrian as I'm willing to go ;-) ) and a puff of Kobe.
