No shave today ...
I'm sorry to say that my wife and I had to put down our 13+ year old Gordon Setter yesterday, on Christmas Day. She was a great little girl for her entire life, and we will miss her terribly.
We spent 5 hours in the Emergency Vet office. There was nothing they could do for the large mass on her spleen, which seemed to appear within three weeks, since she was last at the Vet for complete workup. We both laid down and held her on a soft comforter as she passed. For dog lovers, you know how hard this is. But it's what we sign on for when we take a puppy into our home ...
Till we meet again, my dear Holly ...

Thanked: 3226Yup, know exactly what you are feeling like today. I have gone through that enough times now I really don't want to face it again. My deepest sympathy to you and your wife.

You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

Thanks gentlemen for the kind words..
No matter how many times we've been through this, it never gets any easier. I always thought that God played a cruel joke on Man, by giving us a lifespan of 70 or so years, and our best friends just ten.
Every one of our dogs has taken a little piece of my heart with them ..

I switched razors today and had a challenge in that the goatee I've been sporting had to come off. I was going to go the easy route with a safety razor but sucked it up and used the SR. It took 3 tries but I was met with success. The razor definitely earned its pay!
