Hello everyone.
- Tabac
- Simpson Chubby 2
- Wacker Classic 6/8
- Thayer's Witch Hazel
Incredible razor - super sharp, extremely smooth. One pass would have been sufficient, but the Chubby produced so much lather, that I had to do a second one!

Back for the day.
Schick E-2
Chela
TOBS badger
Vintage Schick injector blades
Vintage Mac Gregor Bay Rum
I probably learned to shave on a handmedown E-2. I remember Dad with little bits of TP stuck to his face from nicks. It is a bit more aggressive than any of the GEMs' that I have!! A Bit!!Nicest thing is that the spring moves to the side and I can thoroughly clean the blade area.

03-19-2017, 04:22 PM #9SOTD - Trumpers Limes cream, WS "Very British shave" brush, George Butler & Co "Yorkshire Bite" 6/8 wedge razor, Proraso white post cream, Floid a/s
Result - BBS
It's a retrospective SOTD today. Four years ago I was starting to take this ritual as a hobby, having only recently purchased a Progress Vulfix 404 brush, a tub of Proraso grean shaving soap, and a pack of Feather blades. Back then, I had idea what, how or where this hobby/routine would take me. I certainly didn't imagine I'd be honing and buffing/polishing straight razors, let alone *use* one.
"Use one". Heh, I have eight straight razors in my collection, each one is usable.
I've no idea what I'll be doing with this hobby in the next four years. But I know the ritual isn't dreary anymore.~ Dave ~ ... back to lurking...
