Thanks Addison, it helped that it was in good condition when I received it. All it really needed was a good bath to clean the gunk out of the scales. And to be honed, the edge wasn't too bad to begin with either. It only had a few very tiny chips that I could only see under 40x magnification. So it took a bevel well.
