    Hot rinse and conditioner
Hot rinse and Proraso prepost cream

    Trumpers sandalwood cream
    EJ BB brush

    Walter Eigenbrod 6/8 roundpoint
    TM red latigo strop 20/40

    Cold rinse and alum rubdown
    Trumpers coral skin food
    JOOP! edt

Today was a landmark! I haven't had a single decent shave with the Eigenbrod since I bought it as my first razor last October. Nothing wrong with John Crowley's honing, just my inability to strop properly in the early days (ahem!).

I spent a couple of hours with TM's 4 sided pasted paddle last night and gently worked it up until it just about started to drag hairs on my forearm, at which point I had to call it a night and clean up.

Today, the shave was subliminal, the only things missing were a decent a/s and a cigar Fabulous.

    American razors day

    Matt custom ivory super silvertip
    Trumper's violet soap
    Vintage Russia Shell Select
Genco Master Barber 6/8 spike p
    Robeson 2504 5/8 round p
    No alum / styptic
    JASON 6-in-1 ASB

Got a small cut w/ the Robeson. No blood really, but I'm still quite unhappy about it.

Since Scarface Germany shared that styptic (or was it alum?) may promote scarring I decided to skip and just went with the 6-in-1. Have enoough scars as it is Had not used this ASB for many many months - but I really enjoyed it today. Should use it more often for variety

Razors were sharp, but could be better. And I certainly prefer smoother-feeling razors. They will need some additional work

    Cheers
    Ivo

    Fri:
    Rooney small style 1 brush
    Trumper's Violet soap
    Hand American strop
    Dovo Bergischer Lowe
    Royall Spyce A/S

Great shave. There is a dry cedary note to the violet soap (that is missing from the cream) that prevents it from being feminine.
