A razor I recently was given (along with 7 other 'basket case' razors). After I restored it, I figured I'd give it a go. Not 'top of the line', but still a nice SR.
Normally, I reserve the "Bay Rum" and Ceret soap for when I'm on vacation. But, I decided I needed to "Feel" like I was on vacation today!
Soap: Soap Smooth "Ceret"
Brush: The Purist - Sating Tip white
Strop: SRD "Roo"
Razor: Gilt Edge
After shave: Ogallala Bay Rum

Thanks, my friend. That is part of a set of two hollow Wade & Butcher in ivory scales — my pride. The ivory scales are in perfect condition. The ivory scales in many of the old Sheffield razors are cracked, broken or scratched. The ones on my Wade & Butchers are in perfect condition.
The pins are a wee bit loose when the razor is open straight out, which requires extra care when stropping, but I dare not tighten them for fear of cracking the ivory. I don't use the razors all that much, though; they're just nice to look at. Oh, and they are superb shavers.
