Sticking to Tabac for today for the sake of science.
Yesterday was shave No. 14 and the last shave that I can tolerate with the Feather Super Professional. I've been stropping 20 laps linen and clean leather every day since about shave 5. Not tugging yet, but I find myself using a bit of pressure and also a higher angle to the skin in order to shave.
The shave is also less close. Most noticeably a day later my stubble is a smidgen longer than it was when the blade was more keen.
So today I've stropped 30 laps on metal polish loaded linen and diamond loaded leather. Let me see if it makes a difference? Same soap as yesterday to keep the comparison fair.
Edit: the pasted stropping worked nicely. Great smooth shave. So that's now shave 14 +1.
