Thanked: 250---Wednesday---
Razor--Shumate.
Strops--SRD Premium 1 and Illinois 6454.
Soap--5 way concoction Williams Mug, Conk, Watkins, Porter's, and Creamo.
Brush--VDH badger.
Aftershave--Alum block, Dickinson's witch hazel, and a generous splash of Old Scheiss.
Result--4 pass bbs. Kind of fun taking a soap concoction and the neglected Shumate out for a spin again. You gents have a great rest of the week. Look sharp and smell nice for the ladies.

Razor: Turner/ Gowlishaw & Co. Mereden, Conn.
Strop: SRD Roo.
Soap: TOBS Ceaderwood.
Brush: Restored Ever-Ready.
AS: St. James, Ceaderwood & Clarysage.
The razor was sent to me by one of our fine members, and contributor to the SOTD,( JTmke ) for a bit of maintenance. The scales were full of bug bites, and warped as all get out.
The blade was cleaned up the best I could, for its condition. Lots of pits n chips, I was still able to obtain a clean bevel, and enjoy a blissful shave from the past.
Its sooo hard to beat the shaves from these early American razors.
Your gonna love the shave from this one, JTmke.Mike
