Soap--Baume Be. cream.

Aftershave--Alum block, Dickinson's witch hazel, and a generous splash of Fine Snake Bite with an Aqua Velva Ice Blue chaser.

Thanked: 14Marshes & Shepherd
Marshes & Shepherd that I tuned up on a pasted strop this week for a very nicely updated edge close to what it was when I got it (a big first step for me as I have no real honing skills!)

Shave coming up after I finish my coffee (pic includes a Terry Redlin cup I found in a coffee shop in Minnesota last year!)

Scrupleworks Swedish bridle strop
Proraso omega boar brush
Scheermonnik Soek shaving soap
Cold water splash
Thayer’s witch hazel
Truefitt & Hill 1805 balm
Institut Karité Shea butter
Cuore di pepe nero EdT
More contact with the La Veinette coti.
It surely is a fast cutter. I went through the whole progression from heavy slurry to just plain water. The edge was okay, but sharpy. Brought out the unknown Asagi for a few laps, also finishing on just water and the edge was just where I want it: sharp, yet soft. This could be a good combo. Perhaps even with some laps on the Gross Jaune in between. A Belgian-Japanese edge.
Works for me.
