Thanks, Celestino. It's actually a throw pillow from our bed. It does make for a nice background.

Fine, simple first shave of the year with my oldest working blade.
200+ years old, still serving its makers purpose.
    And quite well at that..

This was the first time I've ever shaved with a razor like this one, and I can attest that our forefathers were enjoying a BBS shave. The shave was incredible. Very smooth, and quiet. Different than any other steel I've shaved with. It honed up quite nice and quickly, for the damage it had to the edge, as well.

I was left with no nicks ,cuts, or rash. No noticeable sting from the AS, and a near BBS shave, on the first go around.

    ---Monday New Years Day---
Razor--Isaac Diller 6/8 restored by Outback.
    Strops--SRD Premium 1 and Illinois 6454.
    Soap--Tabac.
    Brush--Outback Magna-Badger.
Aftershave--Alum block, Dickinson's witch hazel, and a generous splash of Aqua-Velva Ice Blue.
Result--4 pass bbs. A perfect shave and great equipment to usher in the New Year. Too bad it was -20 below zero. At those temps there were no widow women and divorcees to share it with. You gents have a great day, a great week, and a great year. Look sharp and smell nice for the ladies.
